Dr Jerry Thompson
After a short spell in hospital medicine, Dr Thompson changed to general practice. Over three decades later he is still in general practice, albeit working part-time. He has been a member of BSEM for nearly as long and has tried to incorporate what he has learnt about allergies, nutrition and toxicity into his GP practice. He has found this to be hugely beneficial when dealing with the large number of patients who don’t respond well to conventional medicine and has greatly increased his job satisfaction. It has also led him to write many patient leaflets which are now freely available on his website. He has also have been fascinated by people who get better against the odds and this is the subject of his new book “Curing the Incurable”.
