Dr James Greenblatt
James M. Greenblatt, M.D., a dually certified child and adult psychiatrist, is a pioneer in integrative medicine who has lectured throughout the United States on the scientific evidence for nutritional interventions in psychiatry and eating disorders. After receiving his medical degree and completing his psychiatry residency at George Washington University, he completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Medical School.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Greenblatt has provided numerous presentations and seminars on integrative medicine-most notably the interplay between nutrition, genetics, stress, and mental illness-to patients, families, and professionals. Dr. Greenblatt is an advocate of personalized medicine for individuals and his seminars and books help clinicians and patients understand individualized, holistic treatment plans for mental illness.
His two published books, Answers to Anorexia and The Breakthrough Depression Solution, incorporate over twenty years of his clinical experience using integrative medicine to treat patients. He is currently working on his third book, Answers to Appetite Control, set to be published May 2014.
Dr. Greenblatt currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Services at Walden Behavioral Care in Waltham, Massachusetts. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine. An acknowledged integrative medicine expert, Dr. Greenblatt has lectured throughout the United States on the scientific evidence for nutritional interventions in psychiatry and mental illness. His work in integrative medicine has made him a highly sought-after speaker at various national and international conferences in Canada, England, and Asia.
