Helen joined the charity Public Health Collaboration to set up and manage The Lifestyle Club (TLC), an HSJ award-winning programme for adults living with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, based on the low carbohydrate approach of Dr David Unwin. TLC offers 8-weeks structured education followed by lifetime support.

Having witnessed the devastation of type 2 diabetes with her dad, Helen is passionate about helping people understand their condition and feel empowered to do something about it. Her aim is for TLC to support Primary Care across the UK to help more patients achieve type 2 diabetes remission through sustainable diet and lifestyle changes.
