YOUNG PEOPLE LEARNING TO THRIVE

Dr Jo Barker who is a trustee of the TeenYoga charity and a yoga therapist, will speak to several young people on their experience of yoga as a method to support their increased health. Charlotta Martinus, the director of the TeenYoga charity, is also part of the conversation. She has a background as a yoga therapist for suicidal young people at Callington Road Hospital in Bristol as well as many years working in schools, introducing yoga. The young people will be leading the conversation, which will centre around their personal experience of severe mental health issues resolved through yoga, from eating disorders to self-harm, through social exclusion and depression and anxiety, the young people have managed to find a long lasting and impactful way to thrive at school and at home which they will share with you in this workshop.
