In the coming years, Depression will be the number one cause of disability worldwide. Meaning that Depression will impair one’s quality of life more than any other chronic medical condition. Our conventional treatment model relies on antidepressant medications leaving 30-40% of patients’ non-responders and more than half with disabling side effects. This presentation will describe an integrative and functional medicine model for redefining our assessment and treatment models for Depression and antidepressant withdrawal syndrome.

This workshop is FREE to ATTEND* due to the support provided by our sponsor Pure Encapsulations and will qualify for 1 CPD point.  Please note that you must be registered by 12th June 2022 for the FREE pass.

  1. Acupuncture: more than just needles
    Moore
    30 mins

For many people, acupuncture is simply the insertion of needles. But the traditional therapy, in Chinese zhenjiu, is a much broader concept. Not all needles puncture the skin. Other techniques, such as moxibustion and cupping, are also used. Furthermore, traditional theory provides a means to understand health and illness which can be used as the basis for dietary and other lifestyle advice. This talk will cover the full extent of what acupuncture is, as traditionally practised.
