Long Covid Pathogen Reactivation: Testing and Therapeutic Options
Numerous studies have evidenced that COVID is able to reactivate dormant pathogens, which are often one of the prime causative agents in Long Covid/Post-Covid Syndrome. The Herpes viruses most frequently found are EBV, CMV and HHV-6, as well as the Enterovirus Coxsackie. Bacterial infections implicated are Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, and Borrelia (Lyme Disease) according to some clinicians.
This talk will cover the evidence of reactivation, testing options, and also outline therapies that have proven particularly helpful in such cases.
